Y1 - Exploring Skelmersdale
Year 1 had a fantastic Geography lesson, we learnt that we live in a town called Skelmersdale which is also in a country called England. The children were fascinated using google maps to locate some familiar features within the town.

Year 1 have had a fantastic week in Math's learning all about Fact families. The children were amazed to learn the relationships between numbers. We used 10's frame's and counters to support our understanding.
Y1 Practical Science lesson (eyesight)

Y1 - Jigsaw - Celebrating differences
Y1 had a fantastic Jigsaw lesson this week, we explored eachother’s differences and discussed how important it is for us to be kind to each other. The children were really excited to learn some new things about their peers.
Y1 Curious Critters
Year 1 had a fantastic morning with Danny from Curious Critters. The children learnt lots of exciting facts which shocked us all. They then had the opportunity to get up close with these animals and insects! The children were even brave enough to hold some of them. Well done Year 1.
