Year 6 started using python syntax to code this week! They used lines of code to navigate the character through the game!

Year 6 learnt all about binary code this afternoon in computing. We had a competition at the end to see who could solve the binary challenges the fastest - it’s safe to say that it got quite competitive! #enjoy #embrace

Year 6 have made a flying start this week! In science, they’ve been learning all about calories, what they are and the impact they have on our bodies! #enjoy #evolve

Year 6 had a visit from the police today!  They spoke to them about how they can stay safe online and how to use social media appropriately. Year 6 also got chance the check out the police van too!  #enjoy

Year 6 had a great morning making their rocky road ready for tomorrow’s Christmas Fayre!

To wrap up their unit on the history of Skelmersdale, Year 6 created videos to showcase their learning! They had a great afternoon of presenting, filming and editing!

Year 6 have been working hard this afternoon using long division to solve multi-step problems in maths! Some tricky stuff, but they’re a resilient bunch!

In geography this week, Year 6 enjoyed created fingerposts that could stand outside Delph Side to mark the direction and distance to various areas in Skelmersdale including the Beacon and the Town Centre!

Year 6 finished the final plot point for their ghost story this morning - they’ve written some incredible paragraphs! Next week, it is onto planning and writing their own independent pieces!

As part of Anti-Bullying week, Year 6 took part in the BBC live lesson on bullying. The focus this year is ‘Reach Out’. Year 6 explored what it means to reach out and what they can do if they feel they are being bullied

Year 6 enjoyed learning all about rations in this afternoon’s Forest School session!
