Year 2 - Writing our own stories
Day 1 of writing our own stories based on Little Red Reading Hood. Such concentration to write the first 3 plot points. We can’t wait to write the middle and end of our stories.

Year 2 Now Press Play Science - Plants
Year 2 loved their Now Press Play lesson this afternoon on Plants. They got fully immersed in the story and learnt all about the best conditions for a seeds to grow. We found it that plants need water, sunlight and warmth to grow best.

What a lunchtime!!! We loved playing out with all our new play equipment and on the adventure playground. From rain to sunshine within minutes!!
Enjoying indoor PE in Year 2
We love finishing our Monday morning with a PE lesson. We are enjoying developing our fundamental movement skills.

Loving our Reading in Year 2
Year 2 are really getting stuck into their Reading and we are so impressed with how many children are reading every night at home. We are enjoying Whole Class Reading where we get to read with a partner and Guided Reading, where we read in a group.
Growing beans
We set up a science investigation to see where our beans would germinate best. We all chose the window sill but Mr Fyne decided to put his in the cupboard. We look forward to adding to our bean diaries each week.
Reading Dens
What a great English lesson today. We are going to be writing the story of Little Red Reading Hood who loves book, so we enjoyed making reading dens in class. We then chilled out and read different books. In the words of Blake, "The best English lesson ever"
Handwriting Heroes
Year 2 are working so hard to improve their handwriting and make sure letters are the correct sizes. We have been learning lots of new joins.
Maths Whizz and TT Rockstars
Year 2 are loving using our new Chromebooks in class to work on their maths skills. Maths Whizz are TT Rockstars are a huge success!
It's good to be back!
Year 2 loved being back in school and seeing all their friends together. We enjoyed our first PE lesson of the term and also running some laps of the Mile a Day track with our friends, in the sun. We were also busy in English and on Maths Whizz.
Year 2 are loving being back together
It is great being back together in school and we loved reconnecting with our friends.
We are loving starting some Easter crafts and had great fun playing out in the sun!
