Y5 have been enjoying their learning on lifecycles in science. We have learnt about amphibians, insects and mammals – comparing them and finding similarities and differences. We also learnt about metamorphosis and how dragonflies experience ‘incomplete metamorphosis’.  #evolve…

What a fantastic day Y5 have had 'in the Amazon' on their Amazon simulation experience. We gathered water from our local well, made a filter using stones, led our tribe across the river and even fought our case in court against the sinister logging corporation. #enjoy #embrace #evolve…

Y5 have been using their angles knowledge and measuring skills to discover which shapes are regular and irregular. #evolve #wemakethedifference

Y5 made great progress today, by learning how to place and orientate a protractor to measure angles.

Y5 have been studying the countries of South America and locating countries which are occupied by rainforest land. 

Y5 LOVED their latest computing topic on programming physical devices! We used Microbits to download our code onto and manipulate how the microbit works to physically respond to our on-screen coding. A memorable lesson for sure! #enjoy #wemakethedifference

Y5 have been studying the human lifecycle and how we can find trends in data. We used height data for males and females to complete line graphs which show general patterns of males being taller.

We have been studying the key phases within the human lifecycle, from foetus to elderly adult - and what changes are typical within each phase.
