Class of 2026

Year 2 are doing a super job consolidating their knowledge of telling the time to the hour and half hour! Keep practicing at home! 

Year 2 have loved getting back outdoors for PE! Today we played all sorts of games and learned new skills with friends :) 

Year 2 did some fantastic research this afternoon as we prepared for our new piece of writing all about Big Cats! We researched Lions, Tigers, Jaguars and Leopards and focused on their differences. We learned so much !

Year 2 took their learning outside this afternoon as we sought out and recorded evidence of physical and human Geography around school! 

Year 2 had an excellent arty day learning all about bow texture can enhance artwork! We explored textures of all sorts of materials and used them in our own work! 

We had an excellent afternoon on Friday as we were visited by two PCSOs from our local area! We talked about keeping safe this Summer and even got to try on a few things and check out the car!

Our topic in Jigsaw this term is Healthy Me - staying healthy in mind and body! These guys have done an excellent job of discussing the feelings of stress and frustration, and how we can respond to it! 

Year 2 have been fantastic during our discussions about safely using the Internet this week! Safer Internet Day saw us reading a wonderful story about purchasing things online within apps, and we consolidated our knowledge of information that we should and shouldn’t share online!

Year 2 have been studying the work of Keith Haring in art this term, and today have used malleable materials to create figures inspired by his art! We loved trying to recreate the shapes he uses to make his art so dynamic!
