Year 4 learned that we can use a variety of sources to learn more about historic events in the past. The children explored images, quotes,p and artifacts to learn more about what it was like during the Blitz.

Year 4 - WW2 Outdoor Learning

The Home Front - Rationing
Year 2 learnt all about the importance of rationing during World War 2. They used different sources to answer questions and found out about the different foods and other items that were rationed.
Making Rock Buns
Today we looked at another aspect of the war effort at home and learnt about rationing. We then followed a WW2 recipe to make rock buns using some items that were rationed during the war.

Year 1 have been fascinated with our learning about evacuation during the World Wars! We looked inside an evacuees suitcase and wondered what we would take if we had to be evacuated to the countryside! #evolve
