There’s been a lot of debating taking place in Year 6 this week!

They’ve debated in RE, Jigsaw and even Online Safety! #embrace

Children in year 4 have started their Net & Court unit of work in PE. They are looking at skills they would be using in a game of Tennis.

Reception have had a very special delivery of duckling eggs this week. They have been so excited to watch the ducklings hatch. They have learnt all about the life cycle of a duck and named each feature using the correctly vocabulary whilst creating their own playdough ducks.

Year 3 enjoyed their second lesson of their latest Jigsaw theme of Keeping Healthy. They discussed foods and if they thought they were healthy or unhealthy. They also looked at the amounts of sugar in food and looked at different food labels.

Year 3 are enjoying their Geography lessons and learnt about how to recognise if a settlement is a city, town or village. They worked together to sort statements to decide if they were describing a city, town or village and then discussed their answers as a class.

We've been practicing our handwriting with some quiet time - with more and more of us moving onto pen as the weeks go by.

Top effort, Y5!

Year 4 have been learning how to create a simple circuit. They worked in groups to try and figure out how to get the bulb to light up. They loved investigating and trying out different ways of making the circuit light. Great teamwork!

The Hangout are loving their Music lessons! They can explore many different instruments and gain skills in working within a team, making choices independently, and learning to play confidently and move to a beat, all whilst having fun and dancing with their friends!

Some children from The Hangout attended a sports event at Kingsbury.  This is a massive step and achievement for some of our children in The Hangout. They represented Delph Side amazingly and had fun whilst doing the different activities. Well done!
