Year 6’s first Flyday Friday sale was a huge success! 

£123 raised in total! That’s one seat on the plane!

Year Five have been tackling our latest spelling topic - the silent 'b' - by challenging each other with a Four-in-a-row task.

Year 2 have enjoyed using ‘JIT5 ‘ to create different stop motion animations in computing this week. We have made some brilliant designs. Check Facebook and X (Twitter) for some moving videos of our creations. 

 

This week, Year 4 have been learning how to multiply using base 10. Children worked in pairs to solve 2 digit by 1 digit multiplications. Well done! 

Year 3 have had a fantastic time exploring the world of rocks. They ventured around the school grounds, eager to uncover some treasures. Their excitement peaked when they stumbled upon what they thought was a marble bench only to discover it was plastic!

Year 5 and 6 have been really enjoying spending time in The Loft this week! #enjoy

Year 1 have demonstrated a real love for learning this week across all subjects. 

We have evolved our understanding of place value in Maths using base 10 equipment  to show 10's and 1's in our teen numbers. In English we are beginning  to prepare for our big independent write using our capital…

Our diddy Delph Siders enjoy strengthening their fine motor skills with lots of hands-on activities to help develop precision and creativity.

Year 3 have been rock solid this week, delving into the mesmersing world of geology. They've been exploring the properties of different rocks through hands-on experiments, testing their hardness, buoyancy (floating and sinking!) and even their reaction to acid.

Year 6 have had a fun first week back! It’s been great to get back up and running again!

This week, in History, year 1 compared old and new toys. We discussed how toys have evolved and changed over the years.

We used a Ven diagram to sort some images in to old toys, new toys and toys that fit both categories.
