Year 5 #embraced their textile skills this afternoon, creating paper patterns for their stuffed toy. We then used our patterns to cut out all the sections, pinning them in place. 
 

Year 3 #enjoyed getting messy this afternoon, adding layers of modroc to their food sculptures. We can’t wait to paint them next week!

Today, we’ve been learning about conductors and insulators. We tested some different materials to see whether the bulb would light up. They loved working with the electrical equipment! 

Year 3 enjoyed Geography today as they continued to learn how to work out four figure grid references on maps. They looked at maps of Skelmersdale and Liverpool and had to work out the grid references linked to different OS symbols. 
 

Year 1 #enjoyed creating their own beats, choosing different rhythms within 2 bars.

Year 1 had a fantastic World Book Day!

The children enjoyed a mystery reader and they created their own book cover after choosing a story they would love to read.

Year 1 have been getting creative in Computing over the last couple of weeks.

We have created our own Where's Wally challenge for our partner using images. The children learnt how to re-size and the image and drag them on to their screens.

This week our Diddy Delph Siders #enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day. They also spent some time making some bird feeders and painting their hands.

This week the Pre-School children have #enjoyed reading books! It was fascinating to listen to the children tell their own stories.

We also set up our very own fire truck with a hose after out visit from Skelmersdale Fire Station. Watch this space.. I think we may have some future Firefighters…
