Reception - Handa's Surprise
Reception have been reading the story 'Handa's Surprise. They loved discussing similarities and differences to where they live and where the story is set, in Africa. Reception created their own African masks and enjoyed some wellbeing-colouring-in African patterns.

Symmetry!
Year 4 have been learning all about lines of symmetry in maths. We cut out some shapes and folded them vertically and horizontally to see if they had lines of symmetry. The children loved it!
Pre School- Fine Motor & Gross Motor fun!
Pre School have been developing their gross and fine motor skills by playing lots of fun games! Their favourite was making paper aeroplanes and throwing them through the hoops! #enjoy

Word processing and Muscles in Year 3
Year 3 have had a busy afternoon of Computing and Science. In Computing, the children learnt how to use the word processing app, Pages, to copy and paste and change the text's appearance. In Science, the children learnt all about how their muscles work.
Year 5 Taster Day at Latham High School!
Year 5 had a wonderful taster day at Latham High School! They programmed robots, baked and even got to use all the equipment in their fitness suite!
Y4 Data Collection!
In this weeks computing lesson, Year 4 gathered their own data on a range of different topics. They then inputted this data onto a spreadsheet and created a bar or pie chart using this data. They loved being able to see their data in different formats!
Exploring Human and Physical Features!
The children have really #embraced learning all about aerial maps. We learnt all about keys and symbols on a map and how they help us. The children also looked at the human and physical features surrounding our school. The are really evolving their mapping skills!

Reception - Fabulous Phonics
Reception enjoy their daily Phonics lessons. They practice their letter formation and sizing, read and spell words using their phonic knowledge, and write sentences too. Then, after all of that, they check their writing for capital letters, finger spaces and punctuation!

Stereotypes - Jigsaw Year 3
Today, Year 3 have been discussing stereotypes when it comes to parenting and family roles. The lesson started off with a game of charades to guess the job. The children then discussed roles around the home and if these were for male, females or for either. They then had a go at designing a duvet…

Year 3 are loving their dance lessons. Check out the warm up activities so they are ready to perform their dance.
Finding Quarters!
The children have been exploring finding quarters of shapes and amounts. Today they looked T arrays and had to find a half and a quarter of the amount. They have embraced the challenges and have really enjoyed learning all about fractions.
