Year 4 enjoyed their first lesson using Scratch, in Computing. They learnt how to add a background, sprites and then write a code to make them speak to each other. Next week we will add some code to make the sprites actually speak.

Year 3 have really enjoyed their first gymnastics lesson learning lots of different shapes and also exploring some jumps. Roll on Friday mornings.

Year 3 have really enjoyed creating their 'line art' work. They experimented with different types of lines in their sketchbooks before getting creative to design a line rug. They could use a range of media including pencil, pen, pastels, felt tip, paint and wool. Love the creativity!

Christmas Party Day in Year 3. The children had great fun at their disco. They loved dancing to all the songs, including lots of Christmas classics

Year 3 continued with their Online Safety work as they talked more about trust and how trustworthy certain situations were. This was followed by some Digital Art and learning to use the shape, line and fill tool.

Year 3 have really enjoyed their second French Day learning the name of 10 animals in French. We have learnt to read, write and speak in French and enjoyed lots of games. We particularly enjoyed some games on the iPads and chromebooks. 

Year 3 worked hard today in English as they had to spot the features of persuasive texts. I think they all want to go to Alton Towers now!!!

Year 3 are busy with their new English unit on persuasive texts. We have read a model text and learnt the new non fiction shapes that will help us to write our own. We then had an experience day lesson to learn all about Skara Brae - a Stone Age settlement.

Year 3 love Friday afternoons!!!

Computing is always a hit and today we creating a digital storyboard using Storyboard that.  In Music, we enjoyed learning a new song, as well as all our usual singing activities, improvisation activities and playing the glockenspiels.

What an amazing afternoon we had in Year 3 as we went on a journey back to the Stone Age! We started off by making a human timeline to learn about the different Stone Age times. Year 3 are loving learning about the Stone Age and this afternoon had a go at some cave painting, as if they were in the Stone Age.
