Today The Hangout visited The Coffee House in The Concourse. We had fun reading the menu, choosing what we wanted and talking about the cost of our items.  It was also important to know and understand the expectations of waiting for our food and drink, eating sensibly and waiting for everyone to…

The Hangout loved creating fossil prints in the art studio. They enjoyed drawing their fossil on the polystyrene tiles, using the roller to put ink on it and then print into their sketchbooks. 

Each week we enjoy a tasting session. We are encouraged to try different foods as well as using our senses to explore the range of foods. 

In computing sessions, The Hangout have been creating digital art. They have been using PixilArt website to create shapes. 

The Hangout loved joining Mrs Simpkin for art this afternoon. The focus was on fossils and drawing fossils with fine line pens. Amazing art work. 

The Hangout have been reading the lovely story Leaf Man. We have chatted about autumn, looked at what autumn looks like as well as talked about spotting the signs of winter. We collected leaves, had a walk around the school field and jumped in the mud. We have written about the story, about…

This week in The Hangout we read ‘Pumpkin Soup’ story, explored pumpkins and made our very own pumpkin soup! Yum! We carefully used knives to chop the pumpkin and onion, for ease we used a soup maker to cook our soup. It was delicious!

The Hangout have enjoyed creating some poppy art as part of our remembrance week.  They used water colours to create their artwork. 

The Hangout have been practising their fundamental skills in PE Plus. They have been moving like animals such as, bouncing like kangaroos, rolling like hedgehogs, and climbing like monkeys!

This week The Hangout have been reading Supermarket Zoo, a lovely story. Our task was to use pictures from the story and sequence them correctly.
