Year 6 #embraced their engineering skills further in our last session. We continue working on our simple structures, while some of us took it a little further developing their sawing techniques

In science this week, Year 6 have been classifying living things by creating their very own classification trees!

Year 6  #embraced their engineering skills further in our last session. We continue working on our simple structures, while sone of us moved on to explore sawing techniques. 
 

Year 6 have been smashing it in maths this week! They’ve been tackling division problems using the long division method. At times it has been tricky, but they’re a resilient bunch!

Year 6 have been #embracing their engineering skills in DT,  starting to consider the functionality of their bird hide structures. We explored the amount of pieces our bird hide will need and also the lengths needed for a successful construction. 

Year 6 completed their final plot point lesson today - they’ve been writing the introduction to the story, A Monster Calls!

It’s time to find out how clean our hands really are! 

Year 5 had a wonderful taster day at Latham High School! They programmed robots, baked and even got to use all the equipment in their fitness suite!

Year 5 have been working hard in music this week, having a go at composing their own melodies!

Year 5 enjoyed designing their own towns this afternoon, looking at where residential, commercial and industrial builds should go!
