Class of 2026

Year 2 have been fully immersing themselves into the life of 17th Century Londoners this morning, as we worked as a human chain to put out the 'fire' that famously started on Pudding Lane!

Such a fantastic start to the year! Year 2 had a fantastic day exploring line in Art and Music! We experimented with lots of different types of lines in our sketchbooks, before using 3D materials to transform our lines into sculptures! 

Year 2 had a fantastic afternoon walking around our local area, spotting different features in our surroundings! We saw houses, shops, paths, roads, bridges, the River Tawd and the very aptly naked Dog Bone Island! Fantastic fieldwork year 2!

Year 2 have been learning all about the House of Commons and the House of Lords! We now know how they debate and formulate laws that affect us everyday. In the classroom, we’ve been preparing for a debate of our very own! 

What a fantastic day celebrating art and culture around the theme of Fireworks! 
In Year 2 we began the day by learning a really super poem by James Carter. We practiced using expression in our voices to make sure we portrayed the excitement that the poet wanted to show!

We’ve been loving our Computing lessons this week! We started with a good chat about the things we do online, age ratings for different apps and games and then continued to work on our digital art skills! 

Year 2 are really growing in their ability to read with a partner! It has been amazing to see Year 2 encouraging their partners to read tricky words and use different voices for different characters! It's so wonderful to see Year 2 building their fluency with the help of friends!
