Class of 2026

Year 2 worked brilliantly this morning recapping number bonds to 20 using concrete resources! They systematically worked to find every way to make 20 and recorded this as number sentences on their tables! 

Year 2 have been so keen to play football at break and lunchtimes, so today Mr Mather gave them a few tips and lessons to ensure that they were able to play safely and have all the skills they need! 

We loved it! 

Year 2 have been learning so much in computing today! We learned how to create a Mondrian style digital drawing on pixilart.com using lots of different tools, then we had a go at screenshotting our artwork! 

The results are beautiful!

Year 2 did some fantastic art work this week, using Fazlur Rahman Khan's building designs to create tonal drawings of their own skyscrapers! 

We just love filling up our sketchbooks with our ideas and inspiration!

Year 2 have been tackling some comparison questions in Maths this week, using some brand new symbols to show greater than, less than and equal to! 

Year 2 had the most exciting afternoon finding out that Traction Man's friend, Traction Woman, had sent us a letter! She needed some help to find the the best materials for her new equipment, a waterproof underwater suit, a hard helmet, a stretchy belt and new windows for her car!
