Year 1 Pearl of Africa
Year 1 enjoyed meeting the Pearl of Africa choir and taking part in activities throughout the day, including singing, drumming and dancing.
Year 1 learn about the Continents
Year 1 have been learning about the 7 continents. They located them and compared the distance with Europe, the North Pole and South Pole on the globes. They even logged into a live webcam at Antarctica.
Super science teamwork
Year 1 worked collaboratively to group and categorise animals into 5 groups based on their features. They were shocked to find out that humans are actually animals!
Year 1 - RE - The Creation Story
In RE, Year 1 have #enjoyed listening to the Creation story. We looked at what happened each day and the children retold the story using their drawings.
Year 1 - Art - Drawing Self Portraits
Year 1 #enjoyed using drawing pencils to draw their self portraits. We used thin lines to create a line drawing, using mirrors to see the shapes our faces make.
Off on adventure as an explorer
Year 1 have #enjoyed a history lesson as they learnt about what explorers need to go on adventure. They explored different telescopes and even #embraced the challenge of making their own.
