Today the children embraced learning about the human life cycle. We looked closely at my life and what I was like in the past, what I am like in the present and what I may be like in the future!

Year 3 really enjoyed their yoga and mindfulness session today. It was great fun learning some different methods and thinking of what we can do to help ourselves relax. Some of us were nearly asleep after 5 minutes of relaxation!!

What a day we have had at Pre School. Aswell as learning all about Superworm and expressing our own super powers, we have made ice creams, acted out the 'The three little pigs', went for a sail in our boat to various places, became traffic lights and wrote our name using paint brushes just to name…

This week, Year 3 have been exploring the geometric shapes found in Ancient Greek vases. We looked at the different types of line used to show the shapes and patterns. Following this, we had a go at creating our own patterns and shapes using fine liners, pencil and graphite. 
 

This afternoon the children enjoyed searching the woodland area for words to read using their phonic skills. We are working very hard on our RWI sounds, focusing on spotting the ‘special friends’ and ‘chatty friends’ in words.

Year 2 took their learning outside this afternoon as we sought out and recorded evidence of physical and human Geography around school! 

This week we have been exploring length and height. We #enjoyed seeing how tall we all are and comparing our height to our friends height. The children then explored building towers using the correct vocabulary to compare the heights!

Reception loved tracing around the shadows. Tomorrow, they're going to explore shadow tracing at different times of the day to observe changes.

Pre School have been reading the book Superworm. We decided to get creative and use the playdough to make some of the creatures from the story. We had worms, lizzards, snails, slug, spiders and lots more. We then measured some worms, we compared each worm using the language or short/long and…

Year 5 have been smashing it in maths this week! They've been learning all about the place value of decimal numbers! #embrace #evolve

Year 4 really enjoyed the start of their latest Computing unit as they explored 3D designs. They were so determined to unlock the new challenges and complete them all. Some were particularly tricky!!

During their RE lesson, Reception have been learning all about being truthful. 

They listened to one of Aesop's Fables, The Boy Who Cried Wolf and learned that sometimes, people refuse to believe a liar even when then are telling the truth.

Reception then played a game of 'Chinese Whispers'…
