Y3 Remembrance Day 2020
Today, Year 3 joined an expert historian on a WW1 Remembrance webinar, we observed two minutes silence to show our respects and also enjoyed watching and listening to the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. A lovely way to remember those that lost their lives for us.
Making maps in Geography

Walk around our local area

Pre-School Victory Garden
Today the children visited our Delph Side Victory Garden. We displayed our lovely Poppies and talked about why the garden is so special. The children loved looking at the other remembrance creations from other classes.

Year 3 Outdoor Learning WW2 Week
Year 3 had a brilliant time taking part in outdoor learning during WW2 Week. They worked in teams to cross no mans landing, dodging the barbed wire and land mines, they even had to bandage a fallen comrade and guide them back to safety!
The Home Guard
Year 2 have really #embraced our learning this week about the war effort at home on the Home Font. They have examined different sources to help them learn about the role that the Home Guard play. Watch the video of the Delph Side Home Guard 2020.
Year 2 visit the Victory Garden
Year 2 visited our Victory Garden today to place their poppy stones round our Cenotaph and remember the people who had fought in the wars. They also left some of their messages - "Lest we Forget" "We will remember them"
Year Six visit the cenotaph!
Year Six paid their respects in our Victory Garden, while adding their Remembrance messages to our cenotaph.
Pre-School Remembrance Week 2020
Today Pre-School joined in with Remembrance week. The children have learnt about why poppies are special and created their own Poppy to be displayed in our lovely Delph Side Victory Garden. #evolve #remembrance
