Thank you so much to the fantastic paramedics who came to visit our school. It was such a wonderful experience that we all really enjoyed!

We asked lots of questions about the RAF to Neil. He brought some really interesting things in for us to look at.
Then we interviewed Cook and asked her all about her job. How interesting! 
 

We have been learning about money and are enjoying using our money pockets to pay for the different challenges around the classroom. We can even earn money for working hard too!

This morning we have been learning all about authors. We have had a visit from two wonderful authors (and Monty Dog) who have taught us all about their jobs and read us some incredible stories that they have written.

We asked some wonderful questions today to HM prison service. It was great fun seeing how they use the prison dogs too!

We had a great morning listening to two fantastic authors share their stories! I think some year 5 children are torn as to whether they want to be a prison officer or an author... both??

Year Six loved Ewan's mum popping in for a chat about her career as an author, and asked some inspiring and deep questions about her writing process! Mr Morris and Mrs Gwyther immediately purchased copies of 'Ropes' through Amazon!

Year Six were fascinated when they met Neil, a former RAF serviceman, and current aeronautical engineer! Neil showed us some incredible videos of his time in the RAF and how planes refuel mid-flight! Ultra-cool!

Year Six absolutely loved meeting Monty Dog and his owner, Mark! We learnt about being an author and about the process from writing to publishing. 

It has been great having an RAF visitor in school and finding out all about the role of flying, building and fixing planes. 

Year 3 had fun meeting Mark and Monty. They enjoyed listening to a story and talking about why the stories had been written about Monty.  It was also interesting hearing about how to become an author or illustrator.
