Year 3 are really enjoying their science work and have been investigating reflection and shadows. They were amazed to find out they could see more of the object, when the mirrors were closer together. The children to explore how shadows were made and which type of objects made the best…

Today, Year 4 #evolved their jumping skills and completes lots of little activities. We practiced jumping in lots of different ways, had races and also tested how quickly we can jump. 
 

Year Six had a great time investigating how moths may have adapted for survival. We split into 2 teams and hid our own moths in plain sight, for the other team to capture. We then discussed the features which led to certain moths avoiding detection.

Year Six had a fantastic time doing Bikeability, and made Delph Side proud with their attitude and effort over 3 days - many of which in the cold mornings!

Year 3 have #embraced the making stage of our sculptures this week. We can’t wait for them to dry so we can add more detail. 

Year 4 have really #enjoyed working with ink and rollers to create their mono-prints this week. We then used fabrics to print onto, and have started to build up the tones and textures with paints and inks. 
 

We love to investigate and experiment in science! 
The children have been looking at day length and warmer days and how the sun plays an important role in it. 
The children enjoyed using an orange and a thermometer to represent earth and we recorded our findings on our scientific table.

Pre School have enjoyed celebrating Chinese New year this week. They have been retelling 'The Great Race: The story of the Chinese Zodiac', drawing their own tigers and tasting some yummy Chinese food #enjoy

Wow! What a lovely, fun-filled day reception have had at Imagine That! Lots of amazing experiences to capture the children’s interests. Memories made forever on their first school trip. 
 

Year 2 have been studying the work of Keith Haring in art this term, and today have used malleable materials to create figures inspired by his art! We loved trying to recreate the shapes he uses to make his art so dynamic!
