Year 5 - Art - Exploring Graphite
Year 5 #embraced exploring graphite, looking at the marks it can create and exploring what happens when we add water. After exploring we created a small drawings, using both water and graphite.
Reception - Art - Dinosaur and Me - Inspired by Joan Miro
Reception #enjoyed exploring the work of Joan Miro, taking inspiration of shapes and composition. We created our own ‘Dinosaur and Me’ drawings, showing great imagination and pen control.
Year 4 - Art - Exploring Elements of Still Life
Year 4 #enjoyed exploring the elements of Still Life. We looked at the different compositions found within some pieces, then broke down what could be seen. We focused on outlines, shadows and details - #evolving our drawing from observation skills.
Year 3 - RE - Christianity - Jesus heals a man born blind.
Year 3 #enjoyed discussing miracles, looking at the Bible story Jesus heals a man born blind. We discussed what miracles are and if we believe that Jesus really could perform miracles.
Year 5 - Art - Tonal Drawing
Today, Year 5 have #evolved their drawing skills, exploring tonal shades. We looked further at the different values of graphite, using them to draw a detailed leaf from observation.
Year 2 - Art - Exploring the work of Keith Haring
Year 2 #enjoyed looking at the work of Keith Haring. We looked at the characteristics of his work - his use of line, colour and form - and created an exploration page in our sketchbooks.
Reception - Art - Winter Trees
Reception #embraced their winter drawing activity, exploring thick and thin lines. We really #enjoyed creating our expressive winter trees.
Year 2 - DT - Puppets
Year 2 #enjoyed putting the final touches to their puppets, choosing gluing, stapling or sewing as their joining technique. We have loved making our designs come to life!
Reception - Art - Cool Colours
Reception #enjoyed their first visit to The Studio today! We looked at different pieces from Wassily Kandinsky, looking that the the different shapes. We the created our own shape drawings, exploring cool colours to complete it.

Year 3 - Art - Fossil Printing
Year 3 have #embraced their printing skills this afternoon, creating fabulous fossil prints. Using our observational skills, we etched drawings of fossils and printed them on different materials.
Year 3 - DT - Constructing Castles
Year 3 have #embraced constructing their castles today. We focused on nets of shapes to create their castle prototypes. We were so happy with our final pieces!
