Year 4 have been experimenting with drawing techniques and applying tone to our 'Skull Drawings'. We used our observational drawing skills to draw the outlines and apply tone to show shadows. 

Today Year 4 started their journey on the Hour of Code. We all started to #evolve our coding skills to navigate a BB-8 around to collect scrap metal. We #enjoyed facing new challenges and completing the levels of code. 

Year 4 #evolved their understanding of tying knots to create their dens. Together they practised creating a knot in the shape of an X to secure two sticks. 

Year 4 learned that we can use a variety of sources to learn more about historic events in the past. The children explored images, quotes,p and artifacts to learn more about what it was like during the Blitz.

Today, Year 4 wholeheartedly #embraced our outdoor learning session. Although it was rather muddy, the children #enjoyed taking part in the WW2 obstical course. 

Year 4 #evovled their art skills of blending warm tones to create a atmospheric background for our Blitz artwork. 

Today Year 4 #embraced our outdoor learning topic of camouflage. We looked at using leaves, sticks and anything else that could help us blend into our environment. 

Year 4 really #enjoyed the session and can't wait for the next one. 

Year 4 are really #evolving their knowledge of times tables using 'Times Table Rockstars' 

Today we had battles with each other through 'Rock Slam' to see how could come out on top!

Year 4 #embraced Mental Health Day!

They really enjoyed watching the BBC live session and discussing their emotions. 

Year 4 have been using the dictionary to explore new meanings of words to help us when reading our guided read book. 

Year 4 have moved on to Addition and Subtraction this week. Today we have been using Base Ten equipment as visuals to work out our sums.
