Year Six have been working hard all week, and playing hard outside too! We've smashed reading in class, in boosting, maths in class and in boosting, and written some lovely descriptive pieces - well done!

Year Six really enjoyed exploring line work during Arts Mark Day! We used various medium including: pencil, pen, printing with acrylic paint and collage to create our pieces.

Year Six offered very mature and appropriate advice for a range of online scenarios - all focusing on how we share content.

Year Six enjoyed their Christmas Dinner, sat in the round, with some Christmas tunes on and a cheeky cracker!

Year Six had a lovely time, making Christmas wreaths as their festive decoration and their craft-making morning.

Year Six continued their brilliant day, by learning how to tell the time - to the hour - in French. We then combined our morning's work and said which times we study each subject.

We even did our usual handwriting practise, but using our new French vocabulary.

Year Six have really enjoyed French Day, and have worked incredibly hard - learning the names of school subjects in French, and then discussing which they like, love, dislike and hate...in French!

Year Six had a blast in Science - learning about the components of blood! We used a concoction of marshmallows, sprinkles, cheerios and juices to mix all of the components together.

We chatted about the function of each component and how vital they are for survival.

Year Six discussed how kind words have impact on other people, and which kind words we could share about each other. We offered each other a kind word or a sentence of kindness, and passed it to our intended recipient.

We then create a short poem about what Kindness could look like, and…

Year Six have learnt about copyright, copyright infringement and how to search for suitable, free-to-use content for their social media or own website domains.

We learnt about Creative Commons and the different licensing levels for online content.

Year Six have been researching David Hockney as part of our latest art topic. Soon, we'll use his style to create our own artwork!
