Year 3 Black History 2021
Year 3 really enjoyed an introduction into Black History. We chatted about what it is, about the past and an introduction to Mary Seacole. Very sensible comments were given, well done! We ended with some children dancing to a song about black people changing the world.

Whole Class Reading in Year 3
Year 3 are enjoying their Whole Class Reading based on The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig.

Handwriting heroes in Year 3
We are so impressed with how hard Year 3 are working in their handwriting groups. We are trying so hard to form our letters correctly and learn our joins.
Improving music skills in Year 3
Year 3 are enjoying their music lessons. They have learnt to play more notes on the glockenspiels and love to sing along to the warm up activities and the song we have learnt, "Home is Where the Heart is!"
Now Press Play - Mental Health - Year 3
Year 3 enjoyed their Now Press Play experience on Mental Health. We certainly went through the full range of emotions as we followed along with the story. We learnt to talk to family/teachers if we have any worries or are unhappy.

Year 3 - Mixed Media Fossils
Year 3 have started work on their final fossils piece this week. We have #embraced all the different techniques we have learned to start our mixed media piece.
Comic Book Creations taking shape
Year 3 are loving learning how to make their own comics. This week we learnt how to add in narration, speech bubbles, thought bubbles and words. Now we know how to use all the tools, we have started to design our own comic books. Hopefully have some finished comics by next week.
Writing what happened next to the Big Bad Wolf #independentwriting
Year 3 have been busy this week as they have planned and then written the continuation of our story, The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. They are so proud of their writing about what happened next to the Big Bad Wolf.
Year 3 - Printing Fossils
Year 3 #evolved their printing skills even further today, turning their drawings into amazing, creative prints. We worked on our observational skills by drawing the fossils we could see. We then used safe print to engrave our drawings ready to print.
Loving Maths Whizz and TT Rockstars in Year 3
Year 3 love to start their day with Maths Whizz and TT Rockstars. It really helps to develop maths skills.
Year 3 - Monoprinting with Oil Pastels
Year 3 have #enjoyed working on a new printing method today, using fossils as the main theme. We worked with the medium of oil pastels to create a Monoprint of their drawing.
