Year 3 French Day - Les Animaux
Year 3 have really enjoyed their second French Day learning the name of 10 animals in French. We have learnt to read, write and speak in French and enjoyed lots of games. We particularly enjoyed some games on the iPads and chromebooks.
Year 3 - Making Castles
Year 3 #enjoyed making their prototype castles today. We designed our castles using the features that we had learned, and developed some super prototypes our of Cardboard and tape.

Year 3 worked hard today in English as they had to spot the features of persuasive texts. I think they all want to go to Alton Towers now!!!

Year 3 are busy with their new English unit on persuasive texts. We have read a model text and learnt the new non fiction shapes that will help us to write our own. We then had an experience day lesson to learn all about Skara Brae - a Stone Age settlement.

Year 3 - #Enjoying Printing
This week, Year 3 have finished off their final piece of Fossil artwork, bringing all of their drawing and printing skills together. We #enjoyed getting messy and seeing how our finished pieces look.
Year 3 - Stone Age Cave Art
Year 3 are loving learning about the Stone Age and this afternoon had a go at some cave painting, as if they were in the Stone Age.
Year 3 - Poppy Art inspired by Georgia O'Keefe
Year 3 discussed the reasons why we wear poppies and then created their own representations of poppies, inspired by the flower art of Georgia OKeefe. These will be made into a wreath to be placed in our Victory Garden.
Stone Age Life - English Experience Day in Year 3
Year 3 loved their experience day lesson to find more about life in the Stone Age. Handling flint ✅, freeze framing Stone Age jobs ✅ and flint knapping to make an arrowhead ( using soap!!)
