Year 2 have loved creating obstacle courses at Forest school today!

Exploring Human and Physical Features!
The children have really #embraced learning all about aerial maps. We learnt all about keys and symbols on a map and how they help us. The children also looked at the human and physical features surrounding our school. The are really evolving their mapping skills!

Finding Quarters!
The children have been exploring finding quarters of shapes and amounts. Today they looked T arrays and had to find a half and a quarter of the amount. They have embraced the challenges and have really enjoyed learning all about fractions.
Year 1 Victorian Day!
What a great Victorian themed day we had in Year 1! The children loved the Victorian school experience and #embraced the Mystery Box afternoon exploring Victorian artefacts. What a fab day!
STEM- Transporting Materials!
Our third and final STEM challenge was to create a maze to navigate the Bee-Bots through!
The children worked in teams to complete the challenge. They had to decide on the directions and then and the sequence to code the Bee-Bot.

Year 1 STEM Week- Building Bridges and Towers!

Year 1 Programming in Computing!
The children started their programming topic in Computing today. They embraced learning about how to code and loved the challenge of baking a cake!

Year 1 Aspiration Day 2!
Aspirations day 2 has been a great success! The children loved learning about what it takes to become a paramedic, especially exploring the bandages and trying on the uniform. We had some super little paramedics in Year 1.
