Year 2 Online Safety
Year 2 have been learning about how to stay safe online.
We talked about how people may look and act differently online.
We looked at different avatars and talked about people may look different to their avatar.

Year 2 - Art - Etching Prints
Year 2 have been experimenting with perspectives of buildings on a street. We looked at buildings closer to us appearing larger and as they get further away the buildings appear smaller. We started to etch our streets onto printing foam, ready to print in our next session.

The plague doctor
Today we learnt about the role of a plague doctor, what they did to help people with the plague and what they wore to protect themselves.
we performed some role play and made our own plague doctor masks.

Year 2 were trying to find out which material was best to make a material monster.
Obstacle Courses!
Year 2 have loved creating obstacle courses at Forest school today!
Y2 Forest School
Year 2 enjoyed their first Forest School session this afternoon. They had fun creating self portraits using natural materials!
Exploring Human and Physical Features!
The children have really #embraced learning all about aerial maps. We learnt all about keys and symbols on a map and how they help us. The children also looked at the human and physical features surrounding our school. The are really evolving their mapping skills!

Finding Quarters!
The children have been exploring finding quarters of shapes and amounts. Today they looked T arrays and had to find a half and a quarter of the amount. They have embraced the challenges and have really enjoyed learning all about fractions.
Year 1 Victorian Day!
What a great Victorian themed day we had in Year 1! The children loved the Victorian school experience and #embraced the Mystery Box afternoon exploring Victorian artefacts. What a fab day!
STEM- Transporting Materials!
Our third and final STEM challenge was to create a maze to navigate the Bee-Bots through!
The children worked in teams to complete the challenge. They had to decide on the directions and then and the sequence to code the Bee-Bot.
