Fun Phonics!

Year 1 Jubilee Day
Year 1 have enjoyed our Jubilee Day celebrations. They have worked hard in class to design their own crowns and learn about the Queen and her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. They enjoyed our outdoor picnic lunch, party and were thrilled with an ice cream to end the day.

When Year 1 met the ducklings!
We LOVED meeting the ducklings. The children all had a turn at stroking the duckings making sure they were very gentle. We finished the session by singing songs to the ducklings, as they were very sleepy after all the excitement!

Year 1 Art Collage Portraits
The children loved creating their final self- portrait piece of art. They took inspiration from Picasso and used a range of colours to create their collages. Their creations amazed me!

Year 1 Science- Identifying Plants!
What a wonderful science lesson we had today! The children learnt about the parts of a tree and went on a leaf hunt. We collected a range of leaves and ticked them off our leaf identifying sheet, once we had found them.
