Year 2 Music
Today Year 2 learnt the notes G, B and E on the glockespiel and played a short melody to music.
Year 2 - Non-chronological reports
Today Year 2 immersed themselves into their new non-fiction writing topic about 'big cats'. They read non-chronological reports on tigers, lions, cheetahs and leopards and made their own class fact file about each animal.

Year 2 Special Agents
This week Year 2 have successfully completed their Special Agent Training
We celebrated by playing games on the school field and having some treats in the sunshine. We are so proud of how hard the children have worked this half term and hope you all have a well deserved rest.

Owl facts
As part of their English, Year 2 have been researching facts about owls. They have learnt so many interesting things. Did you know the tiniest owl in the world is the Elf Owl, which is 5 - 6 inches tall and weighs about 1 ½ ounces?
Year 2 reading for pleasure
Year 2 have #enjoyed using their class library this week. Some children have been to London with their stories, others have been to a deep, dark cave. Books take you to lots of different places. where will you go to next?
Year 2 Science
In science, year 2 are investigating whether plants are sensitive to light and if a plant will grow around a maze to reach the light. They are very excited to watch their plant grow over the next couple of weeks.

Today Year 2 have been collected data and created their own pictograms using ilearn2.
Year 2 volume and capacity
Year 2 have learnt about capacity and volume. They have collected different sized jugs and looked at which ones have the greatest/ smallest capacity.
