Year 2 have been making Rudolph chocolate cornflake cakes for our Christmas fayre

Today, Year 2 have learnt about the events of the Great Fire of London and created their own timelines. 

Year 2 #embraced their Science lesson today.

We were amazed when we made an egg float by adding salt to the water.

This week is anti-bullying week and we have started the week by learning about bullying and what it is.

We then looked at ways we could be kind and wrote three different ways. Year 2 decided that the best way to show kindness is to say something nice to your friends.

Year 2 have had a fantastic start to Remembrance week.

We have had special visitors that came into school to tell us all about the war. We got to sit in the army vehicles, try on all of the army equipment and learnt how to march like a soldier.

This week year 2 have been learning about the Great Fire of London.

We have made our own houses and set them on fire to show how fast the fire spread through London in 1666.

We were singing 'London is burning' as the fire happened.

Year 2 have loved roasting marshmallows on the fire for their last Forest School session!

This week we have been making posters celebrating positive learning behaviours.

We talked about being tidy at home and in the classroom. We thought about our own responsibilities and things that make us feel good like positive praise.
