What a great way to learn more about World War 2!!

Year 3 kicked off their latest Jigsaw theme, Celebrating Differences, by looking at the similarities and the differences between families. There was a surprise in store for some of them, as their family photos were shown to the class.

Year 3 enjoyed a practical science lessons to investigate magnetic forces and the strength of magnets.

Year 3 have #embraced constructing their castles today. We focused on nets of shapes to create their castle prototypes. We were so happy with our final pieces!

It was a hardworking Friday afternoon in Year 3.
The children really enjoyed being introduced to 3D Slash, in Computing, and explored how the different tools to create a table. Next week, we will finish our designs ready to 3D Print.

Year 3 are enjoying reading Arthur and the Golden Rope and today were introduced to creating a timeline based on the events that I had read in the story. Great collaboration with their partners to sequence the events.

Year 3 had a wonderful day with the Pearl of Africa choir. After enjoying their singing and dancing at assembly, they moved round a carousel of activities that included drumming, dancing, singing and bead bracelet making. What an amazing experience!!

Year 3 dived into the mesmerizing world of magnetic forces with a science experiments.
Predictions were made - would the magnets attract or repel? Then, the moment of truth arrived as they tested out their predictions with enthusiasm.

An exciting afternoon for Year 3 as they were joined in class by visitors from Create Education for a talk about 3D printing, while being filmed! They enjoyed exploring some 3D prints and then showing off their designs to the camera.

Year 3 began their 3D Design unit in I Learn 2. They experimented with copying and creating the different patterns to understand 3D. They can't wait to create their own designs to 3D print.
