Year 3 #enjoyed discussing miracles, looking at the Bible story Jesus heals a man born blind. We discussed what miracles are and if we believe that Jesus really could perform miracles.
Year 3 Bring a Mascot to school day
Year 3 loved reaching their first target in out Passport to Privilege. They chose to Bring a Mascot into school. A great effort to have reached 750 points so quickly. Our next target is 1200 points to wear our PE kit to school.
Year 3 - Faith Week
This week has been Faith Week across school. Year 3 have enjoyed meeting visitors to learn more about Hinduism and Sikhism.
Forest School fun in Year 3!
Year 3 #enjoyed their first Forest School session this afternoon. We planted some last minute bulbs into our flowerbeds ready for Spring!
Striving to improve Handwriting
There is no letting up for Christmas in Year 3. The children are still striving to improve their handwriting and work on their letter formation, letter sizing and joining.
Year 3 Maths - Subtraction with exchanges
Year 3 are working hard in Maths to be able to subtract with exchanges. It can be quite tricky so using place value counters is a MUST to help master this skill.
Year 3 - Art - Fossil Printing
Year 3 have #embraced their printing skills this afternoon, creating fabulous fossil prints. Using our observational skills, we etched drawings of fossils and printed them on different materials.

A busy old week in Year 3
Year 3 are learning all about the skeleton, in Science. Paired work to label the bones and then think about what that bone does. In Jigsaw, they continued to learn to celebrate differences and spot bullying behaviour in different scenarios.

Year 3 were set a challenge to unravel the mysteries of their own skeletons. They worked in pairs to draw where they thought their bones were located. Who knew bones could be so much fun?
Anti-Bullying Week in Year 3
Year 3 enjoyed their 'Odd Socks' Day as we kicked off Anti-Bullying week by wearing odd socks to show that we are all unique. They enjoyed a lesson about bullying and banter and what to do if they were being bullied. There was even time for a live lesson from the BBC with the theme 'Make a noise…
Military style PE for WW2 week in Year 3
Sergeant Major Edwards put us through our paces in our military style PE lesson, during WW2 week. We certainly had to work hard during the lesson and built up a sweat! He made us do press ups, run laps of the playground and even practice our army crawl in a fun game!
